MSPS will offer the following classes in the next year.
America’s Boating Course – Tuesday evenings July 13 – August 17, 2010
Seamanship – Monday evenings September 13 – November 15, 2010
Weather – November 2 – December 14, 2010 plus January 4 – March 1, 2011 (one course with a break over the holidays)
Piloting – March 3 – May 5, 2011

The MSPS July Third Thursday (July 15) get together (weather permitting) will be a raft up of boats on Lake Mendota in three foot bay (bay on the west side of Governor’s Island). Bring a dish to share for dinner. Boats will start congregating at 6:30 PM (or possibly earlier). Contact other boats participating on VHF channel 68. Call for the “Power Squadron Rendezvous”. Approximate coordinates of the bay are L 43° 07.6’N Lo 89° 24.2’W. Note that this location is shallow water and behind the western tip of Governor’s Island – approach cautiously.
